Private Boat Membership Policy 2014
· To qualify to keep a boat at the club someone must be a member from previous years unless approved by the Executive.
· The private member fee is $185 + a sailing membership.
· Preference will be given to Albacores and Lasers and only mono-hulls.
· The boat owner must have their own dolly.
· The boat owner must sail regularly (2 times/month) and keep the boat in seaworthy condition.
· The boat owner may not use club parts and tools to maintain their boat.
· The initial application deadline will be April 1. If there are too many applicants for spots available then selection will be made by the Executive. The criteria for selection will be length of membership, contribution to the club and commitment to sailing
· Additional Locations after the initial application process will be determined on a first come first serve basis and in accordance with the policy.
· The private boat allocation will be reviewed annually by the executive to ensure criteria are met.
· Boats must be kept in an assigned location.
· Private storage containers must not extend beyond the footprint of the assigned boat location.
· Boat owners must provide proof of boat insurance.
· Private boat trailer may not be kept on J-town premises.
· 6 spots maximum.
· Winter storage is not included.
· Area around the boat must be kept clean and clear of tools, sails, etc.
