COURSE Cancellation and refund policies

i) How to submit a refund request

All requests for refunds must be submitted in writing to the club at membership@sailtoronto.com for approval. Refund processing time, if approved, will not exceed 60 days from the time the refund request was made.


ii) Course fee cancellation policy

Course fee for CanSail and laser clinics

  • 100% refundable if the club is notified at least two weeks prior to the commencement of the course.
  • 75% refundable if the club is notified between one to two weeks prior to the commencement of the course.
  • 50% refundable if the club is notified between two and seven days prior to the commencement of the course.
  • 0% refundable if the club is notified less than two days prior to the commencement of the course.


iii) Membership fee cancellation policy

Membership fee for CanSail 1&2 students

  • Evening course: 75% refundable if the club is notified prior to commencement of the 4th class (including orientation).
  • Full-day course: 75% refundable if the club is notified prior to commencement of the 3rd class (including orientation).
  • 50% refundable if the club is notified before the final class.
  • No refund on membership once the course has been completed.

Membership fee for CanSail 3 or CanSail 4 students

  • 75% if the club is notified before May 1 
  •  50% if the club is notified May 1 – July 1 
  • There is no membership refund if notified after July 1
