Commodores Ball

St. Jamestown Sailing Club end of year Commodore's Ball Party is fast approaching.

This year we have a great venue Ashbridge's Bay Yacht Club located at the foot of Coxwell Ave. easily accessible by TTC.

Please mark Saturday October 4th on your calendar. It starts at 7.00pm for drinks, dinner at 8.00pm followed by club presentations and a great DJ.

Awards include things like the most improved sailor, best crew for the season, most enthusiastic new member, and best racer. Klinger, one our original members makes beautiful wooden trophies. There will also be some fun awards which will be a surprise, like who had the most interesting dump!

Dinner will be a great three course meal, in a nautical dining room setting, cash bar is provided, a pool table and fireplace.

This year we decided to make it less formal. In the past the dress had been formal, but our objective this year is to get as many members and friends out as possible and have fun. So wear what you feel comfortable in, just no sailing clothes please.
Tickets will go on sail the week of August 11th. They can be purchased from Mary Neumann, Ed Young, JP Bureaud, Dan Hutchison, Sam Bamford, Janeen Collins and myself Diana Wetmore.

Price is $35.00/ ticket till September 15th, then $40.00 after that till the 4th. You can reserve tickets and pick them up the evening of the party, but you will be committed to pay if you can't make it, as we'll have to order your dinner and the club can't afford to cover the cost.
